Job Description

Compensation: $11.50 - $13.00 per hour
--Production--
Temp-to-hire after 90 days probation period


POSITION PURPOSE: 
Converts raw materials and assembles component parts into finished goods as directed by the department supervisor or designate by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: 
• Adheres to the company safety and quality policies at all times.
• Follows established ISO work instructions as applicable.
• Completes assigned manufacturing tasks using specified machinery and equipment in allotted time.
• Oversees materials to minimize scrap and waste.
• Processes scrap material for recycling.
• Maintains work area and equipment according to established 5S standards at all times.
• Operates machinery and equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines.
• Reports safety and quality issues along with any maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Participate in established cross training initiatives in other areas to support business goals and objectives.
• Operates pallet jack or fork lift to move product.


Shifts 
Monday – Friday with some Saturdays 2nd & 3rd Shift available


1st shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm


2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm


3rd shift: 10:00pm-6:30am


You must be able to do the mandatory overtime!


Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: 
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

REASONING ABILITY: 
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Tape measure (all departments)
Power tools (assembly and cut room)
Various other equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles like dust or sawdust. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employees regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk to hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

You must be able to do the mandatory overtime!

Drug and Background screening required.

You must be able to pass a basic Mathematics Test as well as a Ruler/Measuring test. 
STEEL TOE BOOTS REQUIRED.
