Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Set up of equipment for start up
  • Monitor belt speeds and fryer temperatures for optimum results
  • Adjust equipment for efficient operations and for product quality
  • Ensure all safety devices are operable and being used
  • Record oil tank levels daily
  • Test oil daily to verify within guidelines
  • Work with Quality Assurance in monitoring product specifications
  • Verify that adequate amounts of oil remain in fryer and day tank at all times
  • Fill and empty fryer as needed
  • Record data for downtime
  • Monitor that only authorized personnel enter fryer area
  • Works with enthusiasm and sense of urgency
  • Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices
  • Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as provided
  • Performs other duties as required or directed.




Physical Environment/working conditions:

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is regularly required to walk; stand; use hands, fingers and arms to handle, feel and reach;  stoop, kneel or crouch.



Job Requirements

Education, prior work experience and specialized skill and knowledge:  

Previous experience working with Fryer Extinguisher, Safety and Lockout certified, Ability to  follow written and verbal directions, basic math knowledge and ability to divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

Potential candidates must be able to travel if needed for training and successfully complete a drug/background screening.
