Industrial Electrician

Hours:

1st shift 7-3:15 pm

2nd shift 3-11:15 pm ($0.85 shift diff for FULL TIME)

3rd shift 11-7:15 am ($1.05 shift diff for FULL TIME)

A Global Wire Mesh manufacturing company is experiencing strong sales growth in both the domestic and international market. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and enthusiastic task oriented Industrial Electrician.

Industrial Electrician Essential Functions and Duties:

•             Maintains compliance of Quality, Environmental and Safety systems.

•             Inspects, installs, tests, trouble-shoots, repairs and services electrical equipment such as motors, generators, pumps, heavy duty machines, illumination systems, environmental regulating systems, and associated electrical and electronic controls in an industrial manufacturing environment.

•             Services and repairs low voltage (< 480V) power distribution systems, wiring and lighting systems, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, motor control centers, variable frequency drives and computerized process control systems, including PLC’s and HMI’s. Recognize and operate distribution switchgear and breakers.

•             Service and repairs process oven and low pressure boiler burner systems and controls. Follows safe practices when working with natural gas systems.

•             Complies with OSHA, NFPA, National Electrical Codes, Standards and Regulations.

•             Utilizes, interprets blueprints, manuals, electrical line and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

•             Uses hand tools, power tools, machine tools, conduit bending and threading equipment, hoists, cranes, jacks, man lifts, fork trucks and access equipment, and electrical testing and diagnostic tools.

•             Observes electromechanical devices in operation and detects malfunctions by employing diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters, meggers, tachometers and thermal imagers to locate problem sources.

•             Performs preventive and predictive maintenance including calibration, using data collectors, testing and diagnostic tools, and computerized maintenance management systems.

•             Analyzes, interprets and records equipment performance and repair data for cost and resource management purposes and electrical/electronic fault prediction.

•             Maintains, organizes, stores, inspects and cleans personal protective equipment and safety equipment employed.

•             Has knowledge of safe practices for isolating, de-energizing, locking and tagging out equipment as defined by OSHA and NEC.

•             Maintains a safe work environment, follows company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

•             Recognizes and reports personal injury and potential hazards and shares ownership of their elimination.

•             Maintains Housekeeping standards in regular work areas and storage areas.

•             Completes work-related documentation including work orders, creating/updating of procedures, PM records, parts requisitions, work execution reports and service records in written and electronic forms.

•             Provides technical guidance to lower grade electricians and assists with training new employees as needed

•             Other duties as assigned by management.

Industrial Electrician Minimum Requirements

•             A High School diploma or GED equivalency is required. Associates degree (or higher) from a technical program is strongly preferred.

•             Five (5) or more year’s industrial electrical maintenance experience required.

•             Completed a Trade Association-recognized electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.

•             Should have an understanding of NFPA70E (Arc Flash) and LOTO

•             Proficiency in basic computer skills

•             Must have the ongoing right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

•             Willing and able to work alternating weekend coverage.
