Job Description

Expert Staffing is looking to hire an experienced Team Lead for our client in Hopkinton, MA. The ideal candidate would have the ability to apply their technical knowledge and leadership skills to assist with the flow of production in the Injection & Compression Molding cell. They would also be assisting the production supervisor in a variety of tasks such as scheduling and equipment, etc. Pay is DOE Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand, observe and enforce all safety practices. Ensure cleanliness of work stations Ensure cleanliness of work stations maintaining a clean room environment striving to eliminate FOD. (Foreign Object Debris)
  • Read, follow and assist in training and direction of operators on work instructions and technical procedures.
  • Maintain frequent coordination with Production Supervisor to freely exchange ideas and to review shift activities.
  • Track Key Metrics and report at Gemba to ensure daily schedule conformance. Follow-up on any open action items as required
  • Ensure continuity of production from shift to shift by communicating person daily with shift assistants including discussion of processing, maintenance or quality problems occurring during the preceding shift.
  • Track material and equipment performance, complete preventive or routine maintenance of production equipment such as lubrication and mechanical running adjustments.
  • Report any inconsistencies and requests support from other specialists when serious problems occur. Receive technical guidance from supervisor or process technician.
  • Set-up, troubleshoot and repair routine equipment failures and prepare proper work orders for tasks requiring technician / maintenance support.
  • Verify setups and adjustments to process equipment, holding tolerances to work instruction specifications per documented procedures as required.
  • Ensure all quality and productivity standards are met on assigned workstations (proper molding, cleaning, marking and packaging of parts).
  • Recognize and correct routine process problems (adjust, tune and calibrate instrumentation for optimal performance). Publish routers and procedures on assigned workstations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair routine equipment failures and prepare proper work orders for tasks requiring technician /maintenance support.

Job Requirements

  • Exhibit a high degree of responsibility with emphasis on safety.
  • Position requires a High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing.
  • Possess the ability to follow directions from technicians in a professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and advanced math skills are required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to participate in various activities and tasks based upon needs of the department.
  • Ability to comprehend and train from documents such as work instructions, safety rules, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals written in English language.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work, change tasks frequently, maintains attention to detail and speed without loss to production.
  • Ability to detect and correct process problems on assigned workstations.
  • Possess basic computer skills to accurately record production data.
  • Work with minimal supervision, while maintaining proper safety, quality and inspection standards.
